LASU dissociates itself from purported official sign out party

The attention of the University Management has been drawn to a flyer circulating on social media promoting a purported “Official Sign-Out Party” scheduled to hold on Thursday, 19th June 2026 in Igboelerin, and featuring the image of the Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM.

The University Management wishes to state unequivocally that neither the Vice-Chancellor nor the University has any involvement, knowledge, or affiliation with the planning, execution, or sponsorship of this event. The use of the Vice-Chancellor’s photograph and name on the flyer was done without the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.

Members of the University community, particularly graduating students, parents, and the general public, are thereby informed that the event is not an official university programme and is not endorsed or supported by the University.

The University strongly dissociates itself from the event and shall not be held liable for any security breaches, financial losses, or adverse incidents that may arise from attending this event.
