With a 3-0 record, the Los Angeles Lakers will return home after their come-from-behind win over the Utah Jazz and host the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. Portland is 2-0, and while its roster may look like it is imbalanced, it is a team that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
The Lakers welcomed key reserve guard Collin Sexton to the lineup on Friday after he had missed their regular-season opener on Wednesday and all of the preseason with a lower-leg injury. But for Tuesday’s game, rookie guard Cameron Carr and second-year forward Adou Thiero will once again be out of action due to injury.

Carr had an impressive showing in the Lakers’ first preseason game with 19 points on 7-of-13 overall shooting and 3-of-7 from 3-point range, plus three rebounds, two assists and two steals. He was the No. 24 pick in June’s NBA draft out of Baylor University.
Los Angeles will play again on Wednesday when it visits the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. It will then head north to face the Golden State Warriors on Friday before hosting Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors on Sunday and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Miami Heat next Monday, Nov. 2.
