Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has honoured two outstanding law graduates from the state with cash rewards of ₦5 million each following their exceptional performances at the 2026 Nigerian Law School graduation ceremony in Abuja.
The beneficiaries, Israel Adekunle Adeniyi from Offa and Oluwatomisin Promise Daniel from Idofin Igbana in Oke Ero Local Government Area, were received by the governor in Ilorin on Wednesday.
Israel emerged as the overall best graduating student at the 2026 Nigerian Law School graduation, while Oluwatomisin was named the second-best graduating student in Criminal Litigation. Both scholars are graduates of the University of Ilorin.
Governor AbdulRazaq said the recognition was aimed at celebrating excellence, rewarding hard work, and inspiring other young people in the state to pursue academic success.
In addition to the ₦5 million cash gifts presented to each of the graduates, the governor pledged to sponsor their Master’s degree programmes at Ivy League institutions abroad once they secure admission.
He said he was impressed by their ambition to further their education at world-class universities and described the support as the state’s token of appreciation for their dedication and outstanding achievements.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting excellence and rewarding diligence across all fields, noting that the accomplishments of the two young legal scholars demonstrate that education remains a valuable pathway to success.
He also congratulated the award-winning graduates, wishing them greater accomplishments in their academic and professional careers.
