Madison Square Garden will be filled with New Yorkers on Wednesday night for a pivotal Game 4 between the Knicks and Spurs.
After losing the first two games of the NBA Finals at home, the Spurs clawed their way back into the series with a 115-111 win in Game 3. Victor Wembanyama led the way for San Antonio with 32 points, and Stephon Castle contributed 23 points, five rebounds and five assists in the victory.
After dropping a playoff game for the first time since April 23, the Knicks will look to take a 3-1 lead and move one step closer to a championship celebration. How will Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns respond in front of the home crowd?

11:35 p.m.: The New York Knicks just completed the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history.
Down 29. Down 20 in the second half. Down 18 in the fourth quarter. And they just came back to defeat the San Antonio Spurs and move one win away from the NBA Finals.

Game 5 is in San Antonio on Saturday, but until then, the Knicks will savor this one on an unforgettable night.
11:32 p.m.: The New York Knicks have the lead.
Brunson misses the shot, but O.G. Anunoby follows it up and puts it in. It’s 107-106 Knicks with 1.2 left.
San Antonio will have a chance, with Johnson calling a timeout.
11:30 p.m.: This game is coming down to the final shot.
With 5.7 seconds left, Mike Brown calls a timeout for the Knicks, who have a chance to win it.
This is one of the wildest NBA Finals games in recent memory.
11:27 p.m.: After a Fox miss, Castle gets the rebound and gets fouled.
He makes both and San Antonio has a one-point lead with 31 seconds left.
11:24 p.m.: With 38.8 left, it’s San Antonio ball down 105-104.
Once again, the NBA Finals is coming down to the wire. This one was the least expected.
Who is going to take the shot for San Antonio?
11:22 p.m.: For the first time tonight, the Knicks have the lead. Brunson’s shot over Castle makes it 105-104 New York.
Then, Castle steps out of bounds and it’s New York ball with just over a minute left.
11:20 p.m.: The Knicks are down one.
Brunson nails a three on Wembanyama and its 104-103. Madison Square Garden is shaking.
11:16 p.m.: Jose Alvarado finds a wide open Anunoby, who hits a three over Wembayama, and the Spurs lead is down four. Anunoby has 31 points of his own.
New York is continuing to fight, as it has all half, and the Knicks are the closest they’ve been the entire the game. There’s 4:32 remaining at Madison Square Garden.
11:15 p.m.: Brunson is up to 31 tonight and the Knicks are down seven as we approach the five-minute mark.
11:11 p.m.: It’s down to single digits.
The Knicks are down nine after a 13-2 run. There’s 6:24 remaining.
11:09 p.m.: Towns makes a three to cut the lead to 12, which is the lowest it’s been this half. But, on the other end, Castle gets fouled and is heading to the line for two shots.
Towns has been quiet tonight, thrown off by the two fouls early. He has 11.
11:03 p.m.: The Knicks have cut it to 15 with 8:43 remaining. Mitch Johnson calls a timeout.
The deficit is still big, but New York is doing everything they can to stay in this game. It’s 95-80.
11:01 p.m.: With 9:46 left, the Spurs lead by 18. New York had a chance to cut it to 13, but just like that the San Antonio lead looks much more comfortable.
Towns is back in the game.
End of the third quarter: Spurs 90, Knicks 75
10:50 p.m.: At the end of the third, the Spurs lead by 15.
San Antonio only hit one shot from the 9:30 mark to the 2:00 mark, but Vassell’s three stopped the drought. Even with the Knicks surge, the Spurs still have a comfortable lead.
Brunson has 27 and Anunoby has 25 for New York.
10:41 p.m.: Brunson has come alive in the third and is up to 27 on the night with a shot over Harper.
But, the Knicks still trail by 17 with just under three minutes left in the third.
10:34 p.m.: With 5:22 left in the third, the Spurs lead is down to 16.
The Knicks are on a 13-0 run but still have a lot of work to do to make this a game down the stretch.
10:27 p.m.: The crowd has come alive in New York, with the Knicks on a 7-0 run in the last 90 seconds, capped off by a Brunson three.
But, they still trail by 22.
10:19 p.m.: The second half is underway at the Garden.
The Knicks trail by 27, desperately needing some sort of response to make it a game.
10:10 p.m.: It’s a NBA Finals record 14 three pointers in the first half for the San Antonio Spurs.

Halftime: Spurs 76, Knicks 49
10:01 p.m.: The first half is over, and the San Antonio Spurs are up 76-49.
Behind over 60% from the field and 14 three pointers, the Spurs have shocked Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks. Brunson has 19 on 6-for-14 shooting, but nothing is going right for New York, from the two early fouls on Towns to San Antonio not missing.
Right now, it’s looking like the finals are heading back to San Antonio tied at two.
9:59 p.m.: San Antonio is up to 14 threes, and it”s Harper again.
The lead is back to 27.
9:52 p.m.: The Spurs have 13 threes in the first half.
This one by Harper gives them their largest lead of the game at 27.
9:44 p.m.: The lead is down to 21, with Brunson going on a personal 4-0 run.
Sensing a possible run, Mitch Johnson calls a timeout and we head to commercial break.
9:42 p.m.: With 6:44 remaining, it’s 59-34 Spurs with all the energy out of the Garden.
Towns has three fouls and is on the bench, while Ariel Hukporti is in the game.
9:32 p.m.: The Spurs have hit 11 three pointers and are now up 25.
This time, it’s Champagnie, and before that it was Carter Bryant who gets in on the scoring. Before that, it was Dylan Harper the possession before.
Three possessions, three threes for the Spurs.
9:27 p.m.: It keeps on getting worse for the Knicks.
Fox makes his third three of the game to make it 47-25, and Alvarado is called for a foul on Wembanyama.

9:21 p.m.: At the end of one, it’s all San Antonio.

The Spurs are up 41-22, shooting 65% from the field and 60% from three; on the other side, New York is shooting under 30%, with Brunson yet to hit a field goal.
New York needs a response fast or it risks another disappointing loss.
9:19 p.m.: It’s a flagrant one on Robinson, and Wembanyama makes both free throws to put San Antonio up 19.
9:16 p.m.: Nothing is going right for New York.
Now, there is an offensive foul on Robinson with the Knicks down 17. Even worse, it’s getting reviewed for a flagrant.
9:09 p.m.: The Spurs have the largest lead of either team this finals, with Wembanyama stuffing in his own attempt to go up 15.
With 2:53 remaining in the first, Anunoby is at the free throw line.
9:06 p.m.: San Antonio can’t miss.
Now, it’s Fox who hits the Spurs’ sixth triple of the half, and it’s 30-17.
9:01 p.m.: San Antonio is 4-for-5 from deep, and behind a 8-0 run is up 12.
With 6:05 remaining, Brunson is heading to the line looking for his first points of the game.
8:58 p.m.: The Knicks are closing the gap early.
After five Anunoby points, Hart drives on Champagnie and picks up the basket and the foul. It’s 14-10 San Antonio.

8:51 p.m.: The Spurs have jumped off to an early 10-point lead.
Less than three minutes in, Champagnie gets a steal on Hart and stuffs it home, and San Antonio has a 12-2 lead.
The road team has taken the momentum out of the arena.
8:49 p.m.: It’s a massive overturn early in the game.
Instead of it being a foul on Wembanyama, it’s an offensive foul on Towns, his second of the game.
This call was overturned to a hook on Karl-Anthony Towns.

Less than two minutes in, the Knicks’ star big heads to the bench.
8:46 p.m.: Towns responds with a basket of his own to tie the game, then Vassell hits a three at the other end.
With the score 5-2, Towns is going to the line after being fouled by Wembanyama. But, Mitch Johnson is challenging the call.

The Spurs got on the board in the finals with a 115-111 win in Game 3, behind Victor Wembanyama’s 32 and Stephon Castle’s 23. With a second consecutive win at MSG, the Spurs can send the Finals to a three-game series.
