The record breaking Ole Miss running back joins an exclusive list in program history. Lacy becomes just the 12th Rebel since 2000 to be named a preseason First Team All American by a major outlet. The previous winners were:

Deuce McAllister (2000)

Terrence Metcalf (2001)

Eli Manning (2002-03)

Patrick Willis (2006)

Michael Oher (2008)

Laremy Tunsil (2014)

Not only did Lacy join this prestigious group, he did so by be named by multiple publications which included ESPN, Athlon, Phil Steele, On3 and Walter Camp. His main competition for the spot is Ahmad Hardy from Missouri. Hardy will more heavily relied upon with his team and may end the season with gaudier numbers, but Lacy is the more complete player.
