Franck Kessie has returned to Atalanta, nine years after he departed the Serie A club.
Kessie was a free agent following the end of his three-season stint with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.
The Ivory Coast international won the AFC Champions League Elite twice during his time at Al-Ahli, having joined them from Barcelona in a deal worth €12.5m.
Kessie came through the ranks at Atalanta, but he departed for AC Milan in 2017. He spent five years at San Siro prior to his move to Barca.
