Kentucky Wildcats News: Rave Reviews for Ousmane N’Diaye

This offseason has been filled with questions about the 4-spot for this Kentucky Basketball team.

But lately, there has been some positive chatter on that topic, and that is only gaining more steam after Kentucky’s Pro Day and the rave reviews about Ousmane N’Diaye, the incoming Senegalese forward who played in Italy last year.

One NBA scout spoke to KSR about N’Diaye and had an interesting quote about N’Diaye in relation to Kentucky’s well-publicized recruiting misses in the 2026 class.

I’ll say this about recruiting. The kid N’Diaye, he’s better than several of the recruits you guys were mad you missed on,” a scout told KSR. “To me, he’s better than (Christian) Collins and guys like that. Don’t cry over spilled milk. … I’m not saying he’s Tyran Stokes good, but shit, he’s as good as any of them damn freshmen. … He’s as good as any of the kids you missed on except Stokes.

N’Diaye has been impressive with his ability to run the floor and knock down shots from the perimeter, and there’s plenty of potential defensively with his length. N’Diaye will also be 22 years old when he makes his Kentucky debut and will have two years of eligibility, although these scouts believe he could potentially be an NBA Draft pick at the end of this season.

N’Diaye has been a big question mark for this team due to coming from Europe, but it sounds like he has the potential to be a major difference-maker for this team. He’ll definitely be a fun player to watch when he’s on the floor this season.
