Kenneth Walker has been one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ brightest stars in the opening stages of the 2026/27 season.

Walker enjoyed a prolific 2025/26, which ended with him being named the Super Bowl MVP while playing for the Seattle Seahawks.

He now leads the NFL for rushing yards in the current campaign, but Manti Te’o has been more impressed with the Chiefs star’s ability to take advice and criticism from coaching staff.

Te’o recently made an appearance on Good Morning Football and commented on Walker.

Speaking over a clip that shows the player taking advice from a Chiefs coach, he said, ‘That was my favourite moment so far’ and highlighted how much attention Walker was paying to the coach, stating that the 25-year-old is ‘an example of what a player should be’.

Te’o said: “In an era where there seems to be a confusion as to a player and his responsibility on a team, and his relationship with the coach, a person of authority, and there’s been some combativeness and some tension there. Be more like Kenneth Walker.

“This was my favourite part of the season so far. This is a Super Bowl MVP taking coaching, taking criticism, eyes locked in on his coach, receiving the coaching, trying to be better.

“The guy leads the league right now in rushing yards. He was traded from his team to the Kansas City Chiefs. He is doing everything possible for a running back and more by being an example of what a player should be.

“So, in a game where you could take things personally, take things professionally and do it like Kenneth Walker.

“That was my favourite moment so far of four weeks into this season.”

Walker has helped the Chiefs rediscover their top form after a difficult 2025, which saw them miss out on the playoffs.

They are now 4-0 after beating the Las Vegas Raiders and have the weekend off before playing their next game against the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday.
