Çalhanoğlu will first discuss a fresh agreement with Inter, and a switch to Turin could become an option if those talks fail to produce a renewal.
Inter announced his current extension in July 2023, tying him to the club until 2027. A further agreement would remove the immediate prospect of the 32-year-old becoming available without a transfer fee next summer, which is central to the opportunity Juventus is assessing.
The profile fits the experienced deep-lying playmaker Di Natale says Juventus is considering. Çalhanoğlu would bring a midfielder accustomed to directing possession in Serie A, with his passing and set-piece delivery offering ways to create chances from deeper positions.
His output last season underlines why Inter has reason to keep him. The club’s review of its league-and-cup double credits Çalhanoğlu with 12 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances, including nine league goals. He supplied two goals and an assist against Como in the Coppa Italia semifinal, helping Inter recover to reach the final.
That contribution would give Juventus a potential source of goals as well as someone comfortable setting the tempo. It also makes his contract discussions consequential for Inter, where Cristian Chivu relied on him at the heart of midfield during the title-winning campaign.
Çalhanoğlu scored in each of Inter’s first two league games this season before an adductor strain interrupted his September schedule.
