Justin Thomas won’t be prepping for the Presidents Cup next week at the PGA Tour’s Biltmore Championship after all.

Thomas, a 15-time Tour winner and former world No. 1, was scheduled to play in the tournament debut in Asheville, N.C., ahead of the biennial competition the following week.

Thomas, 33, was a captain’s pick to the U.S. 12-man team but he hasn’t competed since the BMW Championship last month. Thomas signed up for the FedEx Cup Fall kickoff event with the goal of dusting off any rust on his game.

Thomas, who is ranked No. 22 in the Official World Golf Ranking, didn’t give a reason for his withdrawal.

Thomas will be replaced in the field by Cameron Champ.

The Presidents Cup begins in Chicago on Sept. 24.
