Justin Thomas is clearly a huge admirer of world number one Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler has been the best and most consistent golfer on the planet over the past four years, with 21 PGA Tour wins to his name, including four major championships.
Thomas has an exceptional record himself, with 16 PGA Tour wins including two majors.
However, Justin Thomas hasn’t been able to hold a candle to Scottie Scheffler over the past couple of years.
Bryson DeChambeau is also one of the best players in the world, but his move to LIV Golf has greatly tarnished his achievements in the game.
Now Thomas has made a comparison between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf stars.

Thomas made an appearance on the We Need a Fourth Podcast and discussed his admiration for Scheffler.
He was also asked about the rivalries in the game today.
Thomas praised Scheffler for ‘being above’ rivalries with his fellow players, unlike DeChambeau.
“That’s tough. As weird as it is I think we lost a lot of those with LIV,“ Thomas explained.
“I think a lot of the guys, I don’t want to say edgy but, I think you look at someone like a Bryson who I feel like plays into it a little bit, right? Look at someone like Scottie and he’s just above that. Last week he answers it perfectly saying ‘my rivalry every week is with the golf course’. You’re like of course it is Scottie, just answer it perfectly again!
“I think we lost some of those potential [rivalries] with the LIV guys, so I think if they come back there will be some.
“It’s weird, the game of golf is so different to what it was in the Tiger era of Tiger vs Phil and Sergio. I feel like it doesn’t have as many or any of those, like it used to. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.“
Impossible to get under Scottie Scheffler’s skin
Thomas responded when asked whether there is anyone on the PGA Tour who is capable of getting under Scheffler’s skin.
“Scottie is so unique. It’s so impressive to me how he stays in the moment,“ he said.
“I think he is the model in so many ways but I think of how he mentally goes about the game and plots his way around the golf course. It’s the stuff that you can’t explain to somebody.
“I would say guys would not be able to go to him and ask how you are able to be that focused. He is not going to be able to explain it that well, in his mind he just does it. There is some truth to what he is saying that his biggest rivalry is maybe with himself in a way.
“His interviews have been really great. He had that answer at the British Open last year talking about winning and what it means to him. I watched it two or three times and I was like that’s such a good answer. It’s something that is very hard to explain to somebody or get somebody to understand, but there’s something to be said of somebody who is that successful.
“I think you have to be one or the other, like the full Tiger or MJ mindset of get out my way, I don’t want anybody near me. Or I am just going to do my thing and believe it is going to be better than everybody else.“
