Jett Harrison is following in his brother’s footsteps.
The younger brother of former Ohio State star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on social media on July 1.
Harrison is considered one of the top high school players in the nation as a five-star recruit. He’s ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 2028 class, according to composite rankings from 247Sports.
He chose the Buckeyes over offers from Miami and Oregon, among other top programs.
Harrison broke out as a freshman at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia in 2024 when he was named a freshman All-American by MaxPreps. The Buckeyes offered him a scholarship last year.
He might not offer as much length as Marvin Jr. with his smaller 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, but he’s also considered a polished route runner.
Marvin Harrison Sr. was a receiver in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts for more than a decade and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.
Few Ohio State receivers have had careers more decorated than Marvin Harrison Jr., who was twice named an All-American and recognized as college football’s top receiver in 2023 as the recipient of the Biletnikoff Award. He was drafted fourth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2024, the highest for any receiver in school history.
If the Buckeyes sign Jett Harrison in 2028, it would be their sixth straight recruiting class to include at least one five-star wide receiver. Five-star wide receiver Jamier Brown, now at Big Walnut, is also committed as part of their 2027 class and can sign in December.
