Jaguars suffer another offensive line injury when Chuma Edoga goes down

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been wracked with injuries on the offensive line this preseason and they couldn’t get through one offensive play in their first preseason game on Aug. 15 without another one.

Tackle Chuma Edoga was injured on the first play from scrimmage against the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome during a 2-yard run by DeeJay Dallas. Edoga was also injured on Aug. 7 during the Jaguars mock game but had been able to return.

Edoga, who started at right tackle, half his left leg buckle underneath him as he was trying to cleat the way for Dallas. He pounded the artificial turf in frustration while he was laying on his back and being attended to by trainers.

He was replaced by undrafted free agent rookie Jimto Obidegwu.

The Jaguars have also lost left tackle Walker Little in camp, on the first play of the mock game. The incumbent at that position, Cole Van Lanen remains on the PUP list and right guard Patrick Mekari has played sparingly in camp because of recurring back issues.
