Sept. 15 (UPI) — British tennis star Jack Draper will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to his lingering arm injury, the world No. 155 announced Tuesday on Instagram.

Draper, who missed all four Grand Slams this season, last played Aug. 13 at the Cincinnati Open. He said he aims to return to the tour at the start of the 2027 campaign.

“Last summer, all the dedication and work I had put into this sport was coming together,” Draper wrote on Instagram. “It was all going my way and the path seemed so clear. However, a complicated injury made things incredibly challenging and since that moment I’ve been desperately trying to get back and feel as I once did on the court.

“Managing so much change, adversity and pain has helped me to grow massively in many areas of my life, but has also made me feel a level of fatigue that made it difficult to keep going. I am taking this time to reset and heal so when I return I am 100% ready to go.”
