Is Luke Talich playing for Notre Dame at Purdue today?

No. 3 Notre Dame is missing a key defender for today’s game against the Purdue Boilermakers.

Make that three, it appears. Safety Luke Talich, who has stepped up to replaced Brauntae Johnson, is out with a left-wrist injury.

Notre Dame says all other student-athletes on the two-deep depth chart are available. However, Johnson and defensive lineman Jason Onye weren’t on the chart, so Notre Dame expected those players were likely out this week.

Talich has been excellent through three games, so losing him is a blow, but Purdue probably won’t give Notre Dame too much of a challenge. The Irish hopefully will absorb his absence.
