Kelechi Iheanacho is said to have snubbed several offers from various countries, as it looks increasingly likely he will make a quick fire return to Celtic park in the coming weeks or even days.
The Nigerian international was a key figure in the hoops side last campaign despite spending a period of time on the treatment table, scoring vital goals in the title run in, as well an effort in the Scottish cup final against Dunfermline that clinched the domestic double.
29 year old Iheanacho, signed as a free agent under Brendan Rodgers making himself a fans favourite, and a return to Celtic park will delight the supporters, especially with the recent signing of columbian striker Camilo Duran, as it will add more power to our lacklustre forward line.

It’s claimed by journalist George Tsarouchas that the striker is closing in on a Parkhead return. He said: “Kelechi Iheanacho has turned down offers from Qatar and Turkey. He held talks with Celtic FC in order to sign a two-year contract. Returning to Celtic is the most likely scenario.”
Iheancaho has also reportedly attracted interest from the Saudi Pro league, and the MLS, but it seems his heart is set on a return to Glasgow, and his words after securing the double last season would back that up as he said “I love the supporters, I love them all. Everyone in the streets of Glasgow, people recognise me. I am happy. The whole of Glasgow is a great city. Hopefully, I will be here next season. I am really happy to wear a Celtic shirt and to play for them with all my heart.”

Martin O’Neill and the players are currently in Portugal being put through their paces in a summer pre season camp, and the Irishman will be hoping that Iheanacho will agree to a new deal so he can join up with his double winning teammates, and new addition Camilo Duran.
