The Valkyries come in on a rare back-to-back, having beaten the Connecticut Sun 89-64 a night prior. Golden State sprinted out to a 28-point halftime lead, with Janelle Salaun scoring 10 of her game-high 15 points off the bench. Kaila Charles scored 14 with eight rebounds, while Veronica Burton was the only starter in double figures, scoring 12 to go with her seven assists.
This is an important game for the Liberty in terms of playoff seeding, as just three games separate the No. 3 seed (Las Vegas Aces, 26-13) and the No. 8 seed (Dallas Wings, 23-16). Last time out, the Liberty won an exciting game, defeating the Indiana Fever 109-102. New York shot a blistering 57.8% from the field as a team, led by Breanna Stewart, who scored 22 points with eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
