Baylor comes off a bye after rolling to a 55-19 win at Arizona State on Oct. 3 to get to 2-0 in the Big 12. DJ Lagway threw four touchdown passes, finishing with 306 yards while also running for a score while Gavin Freeman hauled in seven receptions for 115 yards while four different receivers caught TD passes. Ryelan Morris and Caden Knighton ran for 84 yards and a TD each as well.
TCU also returns from a bye on the heels of a tough 17-10 loss at home to then-No. 10 BYU on Oct. 3. Jaden Craig hit Kari Ashley with a 13-yard touchdown pass with 27 seconds left in the first half to tie the game at 7-7 but the Cougars put the game away with a TD with 2:06 remaining. Craig finished 18-of-25 for 187 yards and a score but also threw a pick and was sacked four times. Ashley grabbed six passes for 108 yards and a touchdown and Jeremy Payne picked up 77 yards on 14 carries.
The Horned Frogs won last year’s installment of the rivalry, dubbed the Revivalry after TCU rejoined Baylor in the same conference in 2012, 42-36 at home and lead the all-time series 60-54-7.
Lagway comes in with 860 yards and eight touchdown passes for Baylor with two interceptions and Freeman has 42 catches for 479 yards and two scores. Dawson Pendergrass leads the ground attack with 316 yards. Craig enters with 1,400 yards and eight TD passes with four picks for TCU and Payne has logged 432 rushing yards and two touchdowns so far. Ed Small leads the receiving corps with 28 grabs for 403 yards while Ashley has four TD catches.
This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
