Morehead State begins its season at home at Phil Simms Stadium, kicking off a 12-game schedule with consecutive home contests. The Eagles compete at the FCS level in the Pioneer Football League and will look to start the year on the right foot before facing Kentucky Christian the following week. The Ohio Dominican matchup is also part of Morehead State’s home-opening festivities.
Ohio Dominican makes the trip after finishing 5-5 overall and 4-5 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play last season. The Division II Panthers were picked seventh in the 2026 G-MAC preseason coaches poll and get an immediate opportunity to test themselves against an FCS opponent. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM ET on Thursday, August 27, with the game streaming on ESPN+.
