Maryland (2-2) is coming off its worst game of the season so far. It’s one the Terrapins would rather forget. Traveling to the West Coast to face UCLA, Maryland lost 54-3. The only points scored for Maryland came in the second quarter when they kicked a field goal. After that, Maryland was outscored 34-0 in the second half. Quarterback Malik Washington struggled heavily, throwing four interceptions and throwing for just 142 yards. The Terps have now dropped 17 of their last 19 Big Ten games.

It was a better Saturday for Nebraska (4-0) last weekend. The team beat Michigan State in its first Big Ten matchup of the season. It handily beat the Spartans 31-13 at home. The Cornhuskers went into halftime up 24-10 and were able to cruise from there. Nebraska has scored 30 or more points in all four of its games. Wide receiver Kwazi Gilmer was impressive in the win, having four receptions for 101 yards and one touchdown.

The teams have played each other four times, and Nebraska holds a 3-1 lead. Nebraska won a close one on the road last year, winning 34-31.
