How to upload your O’level result on JAMB portal from home

Candidates seeking admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board can now complete the process of verifying and uploading their O’level results without necessarily visiting a Computer-Based Test centre.

The new arrangement allows candidates to initiate the process from home, while JAMB verifies their results directly with the examination body that issued them.

JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, announced the development in a statement shared on Monday.

According to him, the initiative currently begins with the West African Examinations Council and is designed to make O’level result submission more convenient for candidates.

Under the new system, candidates first obtain a verification code after providing their examination details. The verified result can then be linked to their JAMB profile and uploaded through the Board’s e-Facility platform.

JAMB said the change was introduced to reduce the need for candidates to visit CBT centres solely to submit their O’level results.

The Board also said the electronic verification process would help reduce errors and other challenges associated with manual result uploads, including incorrect subject or grade entries, misplaced documents and the submission of questionable results.

How to verify your O’level result

• Candidates should begin by visiting the designated JAMB result verification platform.
• They will be required to enter their National Identification Number and verify their NIN before proceeding.
• After verification, candidates should indicate the number of O’level sittings they intend to use and select the relevant examination body or bodies.
• They will then provide their email address and telephone number before proceeding to the payment stage.
• Payment can be completed through the available online options, including debit card or bank transfer.
• After payment, candidates will need to enter their examination details, including their examination number, examination year and examination series.
• The system will then verify the submitted information against the records of the relevant examination body.
• Once verification is successful, candidates will receive a Verification Code for the next stage of the process.

How to upload the verified result to JAMB

• After obtaining the Verification Code, candidates should send the word “VERIFY”, followed by the code, to 55019 or 66019.
• The verified result will then be processed for upload, and the candidate will receive a notification.
• Candidates using two O’level sittings will be required to complete an additional step through their JAMB e-Facility profile.
• They should log into the e-Facility platform and select the option for the 2026 UTME O’level upload.
• The candidate will then enter the Verification Code generated during the verification process.
• Where two results have been verified, both will appear on the candidate’s profile. The candidate can select the appropriate subjects from the displayed results.

JAMB requires candidates to select at least five subjects and not more than nine. A subject must not be selected more than once.

• After selecting the required subjects, the candidate should submit the information by clicking on the option to apply the O’level results.
• A successful submission will generate a confirmation notification.

Why JAMB introduced the new system

JAMB said the new process is part of its efforts to make admission-related services more accessible and reduce unnecessary physical visits to CBT centres.

The Board noted that candidates often face long queues, network difficulties and other challenges when trying to complete O’level result uploads at designated centres.

By linking its e-Facility system with examination bodies, JAMB can verify candidates’ results against the records held by the issuing organisations before the information is added to their profiles.

The Board said the arrangement would also strengthen the verification process and reduce the possibility of fraudulent or incorrectly entered results being submitted.

JAMB added that it would continue to expand the use of technology and collaborate with examination bodies and other government agencies to simplify its services for candidates.
