Meanwhile, NECO reported a significant reduction in examination malpractice during the 2026 SSCE.

The council said 1,496 candidates were involved in malpractice cases in 2026, compared with 3,878 recorded in 2025.

NECO Registrar, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, said the adoption of computer-based examinations was among the factors that contributed to the decline.
