Wandering woman with children found in Osogbo

A woman and her children who had been wandering along the Gbongan-Ibadan Road have been rescued by operatives of the Osun State Amotekun Corps.

The woman and her children were reportedly rescued by Amotekun patrol officers on Thursday night while they were moving along the busy road.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Osun Amotekun Corps, CSA Yusuf Idowu Abass, the woman and her children were taken to the corps’ office in Osogbo for safety.

Abass said the woman had been unable to provide answers to questions concerning her identity, family or whereabouts.

He also disclosed that the woman was unable to feed the baby she had with her, prompting the corps to keep the family in a safe location.

The Amotekun spokesman appealed to members of the public who may recognise the woman or have information about her family to contact the corps’ office in Osogbo.

“Anyone with useful information is encouraged to contact the Amotekun office,” Abass said.

The corps also urged members of the public to share the information widely to help efforts to reunite the woman and her children with their family.
