Region 1

Syracuse 23, Farmington 16

Syracuse (5-4) edged Farmington (3-6) in a Region 1 matchup, winning 23-16 in overtime. Jack Benoit delivered the game-winning moment with a 10-yard overtime run after both teams fought to a regulation tie. Farmington looked poised to prevail after Benson Rogers caught a 64-yard touchdown pass from Alton Dahl, giving the Phoenix a 16-9 lead with 8:19 left in the fourth quarter. Davis 49, Layton 13

Jaxton Itaaheau led Davis (6-3) to a dominant 49-13 Region 1 win over Layton (2-7), scoring four touchdowns. After opening with a 2-yard run in the first quarter, Itaaheau caught 13- and 22-yard touchdown passes from Paden Toula in the second quarter. Toula finished with four passing touchdowns, including three to Bode Sparrow. Layton’s Carter Hughes briefly tied the game in the first quarter with a 68-yard touchdown reception. However, Davis’s defense held strong, shutting out Layton in the second and fourth quarters.

Region 3

Corner Canyon 41, American Fork 17

Corner Canyon (7-2) dominated early, scoring 27 in the first quarter to set the tone for a 41-17 win over American Fork (6-3) in a Region 3 matchup. Jaxon Pehrson led the Chargers with four touchdown passes to Kelen Gold and also scored on a 23-yard run himself. American Fork responded in the second quarter with a field goal by Damian Wilkinson and a touchdown pass from Jake Matsen to Noah Behm, but couldn’t bridge the gap. Ben Iongi’s 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was American Fork’s final score. Corner Canyon shut out the Cavemen in both the first and fourth quarters.

Krew Robinson’s explosive 51-yard punt return late in the third quarter helped Lone Peak win 14-7 over Lehi in a Region 3 matchup. The Knights (4-5) initially took the lead with a 13-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Brady to Jaxon Cloward at the 9:00 mark of the first quarter. Lehi (5-4) responded in the second quarter when Sam Verbecky ran for a 1-yard touchdown to tie the game. However, Lone Peak’s special teams play in the third quarter proved decisive, as Lehi was unable to score again.

Region 4

Hillcrest 49, Taylorsville 0

Hillcrest Huskies (7-2) asserted their dominance in a Region 4 matchup, routing Taylorsville Warriors (1-8) 49-0 and invoking the 44-point mercy rule. Taft Ashby opened the scoring with a 7-yard blocked-kick recovery at 10:28 in the first quarter. Box Elder started strong with a 4-yard touchdown run by Ricki Jones with 8:00 left in the first quarter and never looked back. Burton threw three touchdown passes, including a 66-yard strike to Damian Tupou in the second quarter to give the Red Devils a 14-7 lead. Tanner Lewis threw three touchdown passes during the onslaught. Despite trailing, the Lions attempted a late rally in the fourth quarter, with two touchdown passes from Justice Taylor, the first a 5-yarder to Carson Wall at the 10:00 mark. Nevertheless, Orem’s early offensive outburst was insurmountable as they secured the decisive victory.

Pleasant Grove 28, Timpview 21

Pleasant Grove (5-4) rallied late with a pair of fourth-quarter scores to defeat Timpview (3-6) 28-21 in a Region 7 matchup. Timpview initially led after Ezra Fiatoa’s two touchdown runs in the first quarter, contributing to an early 14-7 advantage. Pleasant Grove responded in the second quarter with a 31-yard touchdown pass from Cannon Jacobson to Landan Forstpointner, tying the game at 14. In the fourth quarter, Jacobson’s 3-yard touchdown pass from Ryder Huntsman, and Corbin Robbins’ 47-yard touchdown run with 3:09 left, secured the victory. Steel Richards’ late touchdown for Timpview wasn’t enough to close the gap.

Mountain View 31, Uintah 19

Mountain View (5-4) secured a 31-19 victory over Uintah (3-6) in a Region 8 matchup, highlighted by Brigham Moses’s impressive performance. Moses scored twice, including a 22-yard touchdown pass with just 15 seconds left in the second quarter, which gave the Bruins a 7-6 halftime lead. The game went into overtime tied at 17 after Park City’s Will Hladon hit a 25-yard field goal with 8:49 to play in the fourth quarter, and Timpanogos’ Luke Bergin responded with a 40-yard field goal with 28 seconds left. In overtime, Josh Hofer gave Park City a brief lead with a 2-yard touchdown run, but they missed the extra point, setting the stage for Timpanogos’ game-winning TD and kick.

Region 10

Skyline 37, Highland 23

Skyline Eagles (6-3) secured a crucial Region 10 victory by defeating Highland Rams (6-2) with a score of 37-23. Dru Reuss passed for four touchdowns as the Murray Spartans (7-2) dominated Juan Diego Soaring Eagle (1-8) in a 62-17 victory in Region 10 action. Reuss connected with Jagger Karr for a 69-yard touchdown, establishing a 27-3 first-quarter lead with 2:13 left. Murray capitalized further in the second quarter with Tony Rogers catching a 7-yard pass from Reuss, part of a 28-point spree that extended their lead to 55-3 by halftime. Juan Diego’s highlights included a 66-yard touchdown run by Tanner Schmidt in the third quarter. Murray’s defense minimized further scoring threats throughout the game.

East 35, Jordan 29

Brody Blaylock’s standout performance lifted the East Leopards (2-6) past the Jordan Beetdiggers (4-5) in a 35-29 Region 10 win. Blaylock scored on a 13-yard run early in the fourth quarter and threw two touchdown passes, including a 75-yarder to Moe Latu with 5:26 left. Logan 37, Grantsville 36

In a thrilling 3A North matchup, Logan (7-2) narrowly edged Grantsville (5-4) 37-36. Easton Favero led the Grizzlies with four touchdown passes and a 15-yard rushing touchdown. Favero connected with Royce Sargent on a 65-yard touchdown pass, followed by a successful two-point conversion with 7:29 left in the fourth quarter. Grantsville’s Beck Mondragon responded with a 40-yard touchdown catch from Crew Allred with 5:20 remaining to take a one-point lead. Logan then forced a safety with 1:05 remaining for the win.

Morgan 48, Ogden 7

Morgan (8-1) dominated Ogden (5-4) in a 3A North matchup, winning 48-7 on a relentless offensive night. Rhett Larsen set the tone early, catching an 80-yard touchdown pass from Owen Gilson just 8:49 into the first quarter. George Thurston contributed significantly, catching two touchdown passes and scoring on a 1-yard run to help build an insurmountable lead. The Trojans reached 41 points before Ogden’s Angus Macinnes caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Luke Rector with 2:51 left in the third quarter, marking Ogden’s only score. Union (4-5) dominated Ben Lomond (1-9) in a 3A North matchup, winning 40-7. Union’s Cougars took an early first-quarter lead. The momentum continued into the second quarter, when Union added 20 more points to take a 33-0 halftime lead. Ben Lomond’s Scots avoided a shutout with DaShawn Gordan’s fourth-quarter touchdown, but the outcome was already decided.

Nonregion

Weber 28, Riverton 27

Weber (5-4) held off Riverton (2-7) 28-27 in a nonregion game, despite a late push from the Silverwolves. Riverton attempted a two-point conversion following a 1-yard touchdown run by Russell Whiting with 2:36 left in the fourth quarter, which accounted for the only points scored in the second half. The Warriors built a lead in the first half, with Carter Payne contributing three touchdowns, including a 9-yard run with 1:06 left in the second quarter, allowing them to maintain the one-point advantage to secure the victory.

Layton Christian 10, Maple Mountain 7

Lasse Frohlic’s 23-yard field goal with 5:53 left in the fourth quarter secured Layton Christian’s (8-1) 10-7 victory over Maple Mountain (2-7) in a nonregion matchup. Layton Christian initially took the lead with a 14-yard touchdown run by Chris Munroe at 7:12 in the second quarter.
