Hong Kong’s six-a-side tournament returns this month for its 22nd edition, and Pakistan arrive as the team to beat. They won last year’s title by beating Kuwait in the final, a record sixth Sixes championship. India, meanwhile, finished 12th out of 12 teams.
The tournament runs from October 30 to November 1 at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. Each team has six players and each innings lasts six overs. A batter must retire not out on reaching 50, and every fielder except the wicketkeeper bowls an over.
Twelve teams are split into four groups of three. Pakistan and India land in Group C with the UAE, which sets up their meeting on day one. Pakistan and India have named squads so far, while the other ten teams are yet to announce theirs.
