There is no rest for the weary as the top players on the PGA Tour are at the Travelers Championship after a long, grueling week at the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.
But we have reached the final signature event of the year. Yes, it’s already here.
Rory McIlroy is the only top player not playing at TPC River Highlands. But everyone else is here, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and new World No. 8 and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark.

The now two-time major winner has won two of his last four starts and hasn’t finished worse than 11th in any of them. If he’s not completely drained from last week on Long Island, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him play well again. But that’s a big IF.
Scheffler has eight top-five finishes in 11 starts this year but just one victory. Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick and Russell Henley are all next in line at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively in the world. Keegan Bradley is back to defend his title.
Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Ben James are sponsor exemptions.
Check back here Sunday after play is complete for updates.
