Gymnastics star Biles was 'almost dying' with undisclosed condition

Star US gymnast Simone Biles has come through a serious medical emergency.

“Almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card,” the 29-year-old wrote in an Instagram story late on Saturday.

The Olympic champion did not disclose the medical problem but said it happened over the past week and was “the scariest experience of my life.”

Biles has won seven gold medals at Olympic Games. She claimed bronze on the balance beam in Tokyo in 2021 despite mental health problems.

After a two-year break, she returned in 2023 with two world championship titles and took three Olympic golds in Paris in 2024.
