Guide to getting to SoFi Stadium for World Cup, from buses to parking

Multiple locations across Los Angeles County will offer direct public transit to SoFi Stadium for the 2026 World Cup in what is one of several ways to get to the venue on game day.

USA plays Paraguay on Friday, June 12, at SoFi Stadium, also being referred to as the Los Angeles Stadium by the Los Angeles FIFA World Cup Host Committee. It’s one of eight matches Los Angeles will host in June and July — a city that’s infamous for its traffic congestion.

If you’re attending a game, know that the host committee says to get to SoFi Stadium several hours before a match, and transportation officials warn to expect delays in the area.

Here’s a look at some of your transit options to the stadium.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, or Metro, will offer direct bus service to the SoFi Stadium at the following locations for $1.75:

Culver City Transit Center in Culver City

Downtown Santa Monica in Santa Monica

Harbor Gateway Transit Center in Gardena

Hotels & Parking LAX (serving multiple hotels near LAX at several boarding locations)

LAX/Metro Transit Center in Los Angeles

You can pay by tapping your bank card (physical or digital) or use a TAP card, a physical card or a card in Apple Wallet or via the TAP app, according to Metro.

The Metro’s website has more details about how you can get to these locations, the timing of service and other Metro transit and routes across the area.

Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner train route spans from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. Exit at its stop at Union Station in Los Angeles and use the Metro to continue to SoFi Stadium. Similarly, the Metrolink operates multiple lines across Southern California that’ll take you to Union Station, where you can exit and use the Metro for the rest of your journey.

Using a rideshare service? Expect for pickup and drop-off locations to be located on Kareem Court, officials said. That’s near the Kia Forum, which is north of the SoFi Stadium.

If you’re driving to the SoFi Stadium, depending on where you’re located and how far away you are, you’re generally going to encounter freeways like Interstate 405, 110, 105 and 10.

Caltrans District 7, which serves Los Angeles County, said to plan for delays in areas surrounding the stadium and avoid the area entirely, if possible — assuming you’re not one of the scores of fans attending a game, that is.

The city of Inglewood says U.S. residents can text FIFALA26 to 888-777 to receive real-time alerts, including traffic updates. International visitors can scan a QR code on the Everbridge mobile app for these updates.

You can reserve official parking for a game with the FIFA World Cup parking passes via SoFi Stadium’s website. Know that these parking passes must be purchased in advance as there won’t be any onsite payment options. Also, the official website for parking passes says prices will increase 24 hours before a match.

Prices for parking passes start at over $100 for various matches as of June 8.

There are also offsite parking options you can access through SoFi Stadium’s website for the match you’re attending. From there, you can select options that range in price and distance from the stadium.

The Los Angeles FIFA World Cup Host Committee is encouraging attendees to arrive at least three hours before kickoff.

Los Angeles International Airport is a 4-mile drive if you mostly take West Century Boulevard per Google Maps. But even other routes are about 6 miles and under to the stadium, according to Google Maps.
