Greater Lansing Week 2 high school football rewind: See the performance, team of week

Here is a look back at the best from Greater Lansing in the second week of the MHSAA high school football season.

GIBSON RONDY, ITHACA: The senior quarterback added to his strong start to the season while helping the Yellowjackets roll to a 54-0 victory over Allen Park Cabrini. Rondy was 13-for-13 passing for 274 yards and four touchdowns and added a 7-yard rushing TD to open the scoring for the Yellowjackets. He has completed 28-of-29 passes for 472 yards and seven touchdowns through the first two weeks of the season.

MASON: The Bulldogs made a big statement in Greater Lansing and in Michigan with their 30-17 home victory over reigning Division 3 state champion DeWitt. Mason jumped out to a 27-0 lead at halftime en route to handing the Panthers their first regular season loss since Week 4 of the 2023 season. The Bulldogs have won three of the five meetings between the programs since they began playing each other annually in 2023.
