Golden State Warriors sign 3PT specialist to training camp deal
The Golden State Warriors made another roster move ahead of training camp, agreeing to sign Obi Agbim to a training camp deal. Agbim played two college seasons at the Division I level, one with Wyoming and another with Baylor. With Wyoming, Agbim led his team in scoring, averaging 17.6 points, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals while leading the Mountain West Conference in 3-point percentage (43.7%). Last year with Baylor, Agbim played a role supplementary to recent No. 24 overall pick Cameron Carr, averaging 10.7 points, 3.1 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 0.8 steals.
If waived before the beginning of the 2026-27 season, Abgim can earn a bonus depending on how long he stays with the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s G-League affiliate. The Warriors have one two-way contract slot remaining, with recent second-round pick Lajae Jones still unsigned.
