The Houston Texans had a pretty nice little Sunday in Week 5 as they won their first game of the season and traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. The Texans beat the winless Tennessee Titans, 26-3, and are now 1-4 this season. With the addition of Harrison they hope to be just the second team in NFL history to make the playoffs after starting 0-4.
While they odds are not in their favor right now, the vibes are high. They won and they landed a big name who they believe will bolster their passing game for years to come. You could tell how excited everyone was during postgame press conferences. Quarterback C.J. Stroud had a big smile while talking about the move.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans could hide his joy either.

“Yes, alright. We traded for Marvin Harrison. See ya!”
Harrison was the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He had five catches through the first four weeks of the season. His rookie season was solid, but a disappointment for such a high pick. He had 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. Last season he missed five games, saw his totals drop to 41 catches for 608 yards and four touchdowns, and the Cardinals only won three games.
For Harrison this will be a much-needed fresh start. His best college season came in 2022 when Stroud was his quarterback. He had 77 catches for 1,263 yards and 13 touchdowns in 13 games. He has not come close to that in the NFL.
