The Cincinnati Bengals were looking to get what should be an easy win in Miami vs. the Dolphins after a two-game slide with losses against the Steelers and Jaguars.
One of the worst teams in the league, the Bengals were heavily favored going into the game against the Dolphins, and while they did pull off the win, it was often gifted to them by the Dolphins. What ended up being an easy 31-24 win should have been much bigger if the Bengals hadn’t shot themselves in the foot with unnecessary turnovers and penalties on field goals.
The Bengals have the bye week coming up, and they need to use it to focus on cleaning up some of the easy mistakes they keep making, as they easily could be 5-0 right now.
With that said, let’s look at the Twitter reactions to the game.
FINAL: #Bengals 31, Dolphins 24
All that mattered was coming down to Miami, playing a clean game and coming out with a win.
Cincinnati did that, Burrow was crisp, they move to 3-2.
Season picks up in a huge way after the bye at Baltimore.

Felt like the Bengals were in control the entire game. Good victory to go into the bye.

Wasn’t always pretty, but the Bengals snapped their 2-game losing skid in Miami pic.twitter.com/0vejdN2hp6

A win is a win, the Bengals thoroughly out-played Miami today
It wasn’t as close as the score or box score looked
But the box score and score also should not look as close as they do

Not pretty but the NFL is a hard league. Never felt like they were in true danger. Bengals head into a well-timed bye week at 3-2.

“Glad we won. Hard to win in this league… A lot of frustrating things on our end… plenty, plenty to clean up. I know our guys are worn out.” Zac Taylor

The Bengals get a W in the win column, but the fact that the Dolphins were an onside kick away from having an opportunity to tie is a moral defeat

I have concern about the defense still but at no point did I feel like the Dolphins were going to sneak away with a victory. Win probability chart is about how confident I felt the entire way. pic.twitter.com/EV3wq9OcXR

Zac Taylor says Tee Higgins’ mindset didn’t change all week: “I’m playing.”

#Bengals Joe Burrow (QB, $55m/yr) is on pace for 4,627 passing yards, 41 total TDs, and 10 INTs in the 2026 season.
40+ TDs and 4.6k yards doesn’t sound too bad🔥

Amarius Mims allowed 0 pressures on 32 pass block opportunities today vs. the Dolphins, per PFF initial charting.
If that holds, it’s his 4th clean sheet in 5 games.

Joe Burrow playing it cool after the victory. “We’ve got to be smarter. We’ve got to be smarter. A couple of turnovers in the red zone. A couple of personal fouls. We’ve got to be better.”
