Giants pass rusher Brian Burns‘ season appears to be over.
Burns is believed to have suffered a torn ACL on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter.
The injury is a devastating one for the Giants’ defense. Burns has started every game for the Giants since they traded for him in 2024, and last year he had a career-high 16.5 sacks.
Burns is in the third year of the five-year, $141 million contract he signed in 2024.
Until late last week, Burns was expected to miss Sunday’s game because of the low ankle sprain he suffered the week before. Instead he played, and played what turned out to be his last game of the season.
