The New York Giants try to end a 13-game losing streak in Philadelphia on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles (12 regular-season games, one playoff game). The Giants remain 3-point favorites, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

J.J. McCarthy will be making his second start at quarterback for the Giants. Joe Milton will be making his first NFL start at quarterback for the Eagles. Running back Cam Skattebo (hamstring) is out for the Giants.

The Giants enter the game 4-2-1 and in first place in the NFC East. The Eagles are 2-6, riding a six-game losing streak after a 2-0 start to the season.

In-game updates

First quarter

The quarter ends with a 5-yard run from Saquon Barkley, setting up 2nd and 5 from the Philadelphia 11-yard line.

A quick 3-and-out as Devin Singletary can’t pick up 3rd and 2. The left side of the Giants’ offensive line is struggling early this game.

The #Giants had a big fourth quarter and overtime against the #Texans, but the run was an issue early in that one & most of the season before.

Seven rushes, 12 yards for the Giants today. Averaging 1.7 per touch. Tried Singletary on 3rd & 2 and were stopped short.

J.J. McCarthy overthrows Jalin Hyatt on a deep shot for the second straight week.

Second straight week Giants tried to hit Jalin Hyatt on a deep ball. John Harbaugh not kidding about trying to get something out of everyone on the roster.

Hyatt again had a step. A touch overthrown.

Saquon Barkley runs it in for a touchdown after Deonte Banks is called for pass interference on a badly underthrown pass by Milton. A penalty on the extra point gives the Eagles a chance at the 2-point conversion, which they convert. The Eagles lead 8-6 with 2:09 remaining in the first quarter.

Thibodeaux is back on the field to chase Milton out of bounds after he escapes the pocket.

The Giants sack Joe Milton on first down, but Kayvon Thibodeaux and Shelby Harris leave the field after getting their legs tangled.

Shelby Harris got hurt on the DJ Reader sack of Milton. Good pressure from Harris and Thibodeaux to force Milton up & into Reader’s arms. #Giants, weak on the IDL, can’t afford Harris to miss much time.

The Giants’ pass protection is struggling as another drive ends in a J.J. McCarthy sack. Dominic Zvada hits a 49-yard field goal to extend the Giants’ lead to 6-0 with 5:31 remaining in the first quarter.

McCarthy with another big play, this time it’s a 22-yard pass to Malik Nabers on 3rd and 5.

3rd and 5 here, J.J. McCarthy hits Malik Nabers for a 22-yard gain out of the slot, his favorite spot. Eagles rushed 5 there

Jalin Hyatt sighting.

Jalin Hyatt playing real snaps on offense. He’s been mixed into what had been a three-WR rotation of Nabers, Mooney and Fields.

The Giants get good field position thanks to a penalty on the Eagles. Giants take over on their 46-yard line.

Joe Milton III starts the drive with a false start, and the Giants end the drive with a blitz, forcing a poor throw before getting hit by Kayvon Thibodeaux. The Giants’ defense starts the game with a 3-and-out.

That was a fastball from Milton. Little behind Cooper, but he has to catch that. Braden Mann on to punt. A three & out for the #Eagles.

Kayvon Thibodeaux had the pressure and QB hit there.

The quarterback just false started? Not an ideal start for Joe Milton and the Eagles.

Zvada follows the field goal up with a nice kick-off that pins the Eagles at their own 17-yard line.

Joe Milton at QB for the Eagles. Saquon Barkley is the RB.

Excellent tackle on the Giants’ kickoff by Elijah Campbell. Eagles starting on their own 17

The Giants can’t do 3rd time as McCarthy is sacked on 3rd and 10. Dominic Zvada comes on the field and drills a 53-yard field goal attempt. The Giants lead 3-0 with 10:30 remaining in the 1st quarter.

Another 3rd and long, another big play from McCarthy.

McCarty with another laser. This one to Mooney. First down #Giants on 3rd & long.

McCarthy really looks comfortable back there early. #NYG OL holding up really well, too.

3rd and Likely. J.J. McCarthy finds Isaiah Likely for a big gain on 3rd and 5 after a pair of Devin Singletary runs.

Great protection for #Giants QB J.J. McCarthy on 3rd & 5. Finds a wide open Likely. Gains 26. Accurate, confident throw from McCarthy early.

The Giants lose the opening coin flip and will receive. The Eagles defer to the second half.

Giants captains: Philly native Abdul Carter, Jon Runyan Jr. (who was in Philly Thursday night for his dad’s Hall of Fame induction), Chris Manhertz, Jordan Stout, Shelby Harris

Giants call tails. It’s heads. Eagles will kick off. Giants start with the ball

Gints head coach John Harbaugh knows how big this game is for the Giants as they try to win their first NFC East title since 2011.

“It’s just a really important game for our team,” Harbaugh said.

“Division game, man. Division game. We’re trying to win the division first. That’s our first goal here. This game will go a long way toward that. That’s why it’s so important. Division games are big. Division games on the road are really big. Those are big wins if you can get them. They’re tough to get. It’s a big challenge. We’re excited about the opportunity, but we understand it’s a daunting challenge.”
