No. 1 prevailed In the battle of the top two teams in the GametimeCT girls soccer rankings.
St. Joseph defeated Greenwich 3-1 on Friday. So there is no change: St. Joseph and Greenwich remain No. 1 and 2, respectively. Greenwich last lost in the 2025 FCIAC championship game. It’s only other blemish was a 3-3 tie with unbeaten Ridgefield, which remained third this week after another pair of shutouts.
The one new addition to the top 10 was 12-0 East Hampton. The Bellringers reached last season’s Class M state semifinals. Another pair of unbeatens, Simsbury and Glastonbury, remained at No. 4 and 5, respectively, followed by Amity and Notre Dame Prep, another unbeaten team. Simsbury and Glastonbury do not play one another during the regular season.
No. 8 Trumbull, which lost in the final seconds to St. Joseph, faces Greenwich on Tuesday in a matchup that will impact league tournament seeding. Hall moved up to No. 9, its only two losses to the aforementioned Simsbury and Glastonbury.
