The Game of Thrones franchise feels like it can’t catch much of a break from a fans perspective, as the disastrous ending of the TV show and the lack of a Winds of Winter release really leaves them in the proverbial doldrums for both of those mediums.
Things are a little different in the world of video games, where there are plenty of solid existing projects and exciting upcoming efforts to keep an eye on. New PC strategy War for Westeros is probably the most exciting of those, but there are plenty more besides if you’re looking for your fix as a dedicated fan.
One of those is Game of Thrones: Conquest, the free-to-play MMO strategy mobile game, and the developer has just confirmed the next round of releases to keep the experience feeling fresh,.

Over on the official Game of Thrones: Conquest website, developer Warner Bros. Games shared a lengthy statement confirming all of the content they have planned for the game over the next month.
Highgarden Harvest Festival is undoubtedly the headline act this time around, with the new gear bringing huge potential buffs to your cavalry units. At the same time, Alys Rivers and Hugh Hammer join the game as new heroes, alongside the Ever-Ready Warrior Saddle Dragon Gear item.
The character descriptions for the new heroes are as follows:
- Alys Rivers: (The Witch Queen of Harrenhal) – Master of Whisperers (Heroic). The Witch Queen of Harrenhal sees what others cannot. Alys Rivers arrives as a Master of Whisperers, bringing powerful bonuses for Cavalry Defense Vs. Sats of Power. Will you heed her counsel?
- Hugh Hammer: (Ascendant Dragonrider) – Master of War (Mythic). From dragonseed to dragonrider, power is there for the taking. Hugh Hammer will join your Small Council as a Master of War, specializing in Ranged Attack and Seat of Power combat.
The next big Power-Up Event is The Rise of Dragons, which runs from November 9 until November 11, when it will be replaced by The Priest’s Shadow from November 12.
Take a look at the full schedule below:
- Breach at the Wall – Nov 6th – Nov 9th
- The Great Hunt – Nov 24th – Nov 28th
- Tournament Grounds – Nov 26th – Nov 28th
As mentioned earlier, the game is entirely free-to-play and available on both iOS and Android, so there isn’t much risk associated with giving it a try yourself. If you do enjoy it, Game of Thrones: Conquest is a great way to pass the time on a commute, even if it does suffer from many of the usual pitfalls that mobile games often have.
