Action in what may be the game of the week in Texas started a little bit before kickoff and a little bit before either coaching staff would’ve liked.
No. 19 North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX) and Duncanville (TX) got into a bit of a dust-up at midfield prior to the start of the matchup between Texas heavyweights, with a large portion of the North Crowley team standing at the edge of the Duncanville logo and yelling toward the home team. Players in blue began approaching, hollering back, while coaches kept the players separated.
No punches were thrown and no suspensions were handed out. The fireworks were minimized before a night of gridiron action.

And it was an action-filled first half indeed as North Crowley led 35-28 at the half. North Crowley running back G’yrell Smith, a North Texas commit, led the way with three touchdowns, including one that went for 78 yards:
