FUTIA debunks fake recruitment advert, warns job seekers against impostors

The attention of the Management of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has been drawn to a fake and mischievous job vacancies purported to be released by the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR and published in some unidentified Social Media platforms by impostors.

​The University Management hereby states unequivocally that the ADVERTISEMENT FOR VACANCIES (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL) in circulation is false, misleading and unauthorized. The document being shared was copied from an old recruitment advertisement previously published in September, 2024 on the University’s official website of which the recruitment exercise was conclusive. Therefore, this advertisement does not represent any ongoing recruitment exercise.

​The General Public is hereby informed that the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi has NOT ADVERTISED ANY RECRUITMENT VACANCIES in 2026. Consequently, members of the public are advised to disregard the said advertisement and refrain from engaging with individuals or groups claiming to facilitate employment into the University on the basis of this fake publication.

​The University Management further wishes to emphasize that whenever vacancies exist, such opportunities will be officially communicated through:

​The University’s official website with the date of publication; and

​The University’s verified social media platforms and communication channels.

​Members of the public are therefore encouraged to verify all information relating to the University through the official channels only.
