FSU football vs SMU live updates: Score, highlights, predictions, analysis

Florida State football hosts No. 19 SMU in Tallahassee for the first time in program history, as the Seminoles open conference play with a crucial early-season game that holds big implications for both teams.

The Seminoles (1-0) have no margin for error, and coming off a 34-17 win over New Mexico State that left more to be desired, the Labor Day showdown is a chance to answer some lingering questions. For SMU, the Mustangs are expected to be a contender for the ACC title and a playoff spot, and that journey starts with a first trip to Tallahassee.

The Tallahassee Democrat will provide live updates ahead of the clash, set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. from Doak Campbell Stadium. Be sure to follow along.
