Fox Sports is launching a new show for its digital platforms.
Current Fox NFL analysts and former New England Patriots teammates Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman are launching The Gronk & Jules Show, a new twice-weekly digital series. The show has already released its first episode, available now across Fox Sports digital platforms, the NFL on Fox YouTube channel, and wherever you get your podcasts. New episodes will drop Mondays, breaking down the weekend’s biggest games, and Thursdays, when Edelman sits down with a rotating cast of players, coaches and insiders.
“Rob and Julian’s passion for football and natural chemistry from years of competing and winning at the highest level comes through to fans every time they are together,” Fox Sports president Brad Zager said in a statement.
Gronkowski, whose media career has been described here before as a mile wide and an inch deep, currently serves as an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, appearing alongside Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and Jay Glazer. He’s been on that panel in some form since October 2022, when Fox brought him back after his second retirement following an initial post-playing stint in 2019, and he’s since helped fill the void left by Jimmy Johnson, whom the network elected not to replace after his own retirement, sticking instead with the same Emmy-winning cast it already had.
Edelman serves as an analyst on Fox NFL Kickoff, a role he’s held since 2023, working alongside Charissa Thompson, Charles Woodson, and contributors Cooper Manning and Colin Cowherd.
Gronkowski and Edelman have also co-hosted Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules since October 2024.
Fox seems to be making a concerted effort to bolster its digital presence. The network already tried something similar last September with Mark Sanchez, launching a show called RearView that had him interviewing players from inside his car, starting with Justin Herbert. The show, which had barely aired a handful of episodes, didn’t get off the ground for obvious reasons, as Fox fired Sanchez that November, a month after he was arrested and charged with felony battery following a violent altercation in Indianapolis that left him critically wounded.
The Gronk & Jules Show is Fox’s first attempt since then to have its NFL talent front a digital series, and while there isn’t much non-linear on-demand content to house on the Fox One app yet, this new digital operation, comprised of ex-Patriots teammates, could start to fill that void.
