Four positions to watch ahead of the Titans' final week of OTAs

The Tennessee Titans are set to kick off their final week of offseason team activities (OTAs) on Monday, and there are still questions to be answered in some position groups.

While nothing will be sorted out this week or at minicamp in a couple of weeks, the players involved in these battles will have a final week to catch the coaching staff’s eye and plant some seeds ahead of training camp.

Here are four position groups to keep an eye on as video from the open sessions makes its way to social media.

While the starting tandem of Amani Hooker and Kevin Winston Jr. appears to be secure, behind them, it is anyone’s guess how the depth chart will shake out. The Titans signed Tony Adams to a one-year deal, and his familiarity with the system should lock him in as the top reserve, but behind him, there is a battle for one or two roster spots. Kendall Brooks does have some experience and a proven track record on special teams, but Sanoussi Kane, Jerrick Reed II, and rookie Bishop Fitzgerald all have a shot.

Much like the safety position, the starting linebacker group appears to be set with Cedric Gray, Cody Barton, and rookie Anthony Hill Jr., but behind them, it should be an intriguing battle to watch this week and into training camp. James Williams and Dorian Mausi return from 2025, but they will face some stout competition from Mahamoud Diabate, Sean Brown, Shad Banks Jr., and Mani Powell for depth roles on Robert Saleh’s new defense.

The top two tight ends, Gunnar Helm and Daniel Bellinger, appear to be set, but behind them, there is an interesting battle developing. The Titans have David Martin-Robinson and Joel Wilson returning, but brought in Bellinger and Kylen Granson in free agency, and then drafted versatile prospect Jaren Kanak at the end of the 2026 NFL Draft, creating a bit of a logjam for depth roles.

These are the battles most will focus on, but because these sessions aren’t in pads, it will be hard to draw any viable conclusions from the action. Jackson Slater and Austin Schlottmann would seem to be the logical pairing to start camp at center and right guard. Still, free agent acquisition Cordell Volson, along with rookie draft picks Fernando Carmona and Pat Coogan, could work their way into contention. Tennessee also has Drew Moss, Trey Hill, and Gerrett Dellinger on the roster battling for a depth position.
