Former Las Vegas Raiders safety Johnathan Abram doesn’t look too fondly back on his time with the team when Josh McDaniels was running the show.
Abram was coming off a career season and entering the fourth year of his rookie contract when McDaniels arrived in 2022. The team ultimately decided not to pick up his fifth-year option, and he was shipped out of town to the Green Bay Packers late in the season.
McDaniels didn’t even make it two full seasons with the Raiders, as he was fired midseason in 2023. Abram shared a video of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in an Instagram story on Thursday and took aim at McDaniels in the caption.
“I miss playing inside you. Josh McDaniels ruined everything we built! He should be arrested for sabotaging the organization and going to NE,” Abram wrote.

McDaniels returned to the New England Patriots with Mike Vrabel as the head coach last season.
It was a wildly successful reunion with the Patriots winning 14 games and advancing to the Super Bowl in the postseason. The Raiders won 10 games and got bounced within the first round of the playoffs in 2021, the year before McDaniels arrived.
They went 6-11 in 2022 and 3-5 under McDaniels in 2023 before the coaching change was made.
