Veteran wide receiver Chris Moore appeared in 14 games for the Washington Commanders last season, making five starts. He caught 11 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown, but the Commanders did not re-sign Moore after his contract expired.
On Saturday, the 33-year-old Moore landed with a new team as training camps open around the NFL. Moore signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens. It’s a reunion for Moore, as Baltimore drafted him in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft and he spent his first five seasons with the Ravens.
During his five-year run in Baltimore, Moore appeared in 61 games, making five starts. He had 47 receptions for 511 yards and four touchdowns. Moore then spent two seasons with the Houston Texans and one year with the Tennessee Titans. He began the 2024 season with the Arizona Cardinals, but was released in November after appearing in five games. Washington signed Moore to its practice squad in December.

Moore re-signed with the Commanders in January, but was waived during final cuts last August. He was quickly re-signed to the practice squad. He would end up being counted on more than expected due to Washington’s injuries and lack of depth at receiver.
This offseason, the Commanders brought back Dyami Brown after one season in Jacksonville, and also signed veteran Van Jefferson. Additionally, the Commanders re-signed Treylon Burks and spent a third-round pick on Antonio Williams.
Most importantly for the Commanders, Terry McLaurin is healthy for training camp.
