Former Browns All-Pro Myles Garrett placed on injured reserve

The Los Angeles Rams were counting their blessings when they acquired Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns this offseason. After Week 1, things seemed to be on spaghetti legs with the Rams and Garrett, and now it seems they might have literally been on them, not just figuratively.

The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero reported on Sunday morning that All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett was set to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee and is being placed on injured reserve. He will now miss a minimum of four weeks before he can return for the Rams.

The Browns traded Garrett away this offseason, as we mentioned, and got a package back of picks and defensive end Jared Verse. The Browns have a lot of hope for Verse in their system, just as the Rams did when they acquired Garrett.

It’s a long season, but he will miss matchups with the New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and Buffalo Bills.
