Forget Tom Hanks’ ‘Greyhound,’ Netflix’s New 8-Part War Thriller Arrives This December

Netflix has had another wildly successful year in 2026, with some of the biggest movies and TV shows shattering viewership records once again. The biggest movie of the year for Netflix so far has been War Machine, the sci-fi thriller starring Alan Ritchson from the Prime Video series, Reacher. The film earned nearly 140 million views during its first 90 days on streaming, which was enough to land a spot in the streamer’s all-time top 10. As for shows, Netflix found extraordinary success with the release of I Will Find You, the new series inspired by the book of the same name by Harlan Coben. Starring Sam Worthington (Avatar: Fire and Ash) and Britt Lower (Severance), the show spent months in the top 10, earning well over 100 million views.
