Florida State receiver recognized for off-field impact

Duce Robinson has already established himself as one of Florida State‘s most accomplished players on the field. His latest recognition, however, highlights qualities that extend beyond his production at wide receiver.

Robinson was named to the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Watch List on Thursday, an honor recognizing college football players who have demonstrated leadership through exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field.

The award winner will be announced at a ceremony in spring 2027. The recipient’s school will receive a $10,000 contribution from the SCORE Foundation, the charitable organization founded by former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.

Robinson’s inclusion adds another distinction to a résumé that has grown considerably since he arrived in Tallahassee.

The Phoenix native earned first-team All-ACC and third-team All-America honors during the 2025 season after catching 56 passes for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns. He was twice named ACC Receiver of the Week and finished as a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which honors the nation’s top receiver.

His accomplishments have extended into the classroom as well. Robinson was named a first-team Academic All-American in January after compiling a 3.82 career GPA while pursuing a social science degree at Florida State. He became FSU’s first first-team Academic All-American since 2012.

Robinson is also on the 2026 watch lists for the Maxwell Award, Wuerffel Trophy and Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

The Jason Witten recognition gives Robinson another national honor, this time spotlighting the leadership and character that accompany his status as one of Florida State’s most decorated returning players.
