Florida State is standing out to 2028 elite in-state defensive lineman

Florida State is working hard to add more talent to their 2028 recruiting class early. As they look for their third commitment, four-star defensive lineman Zylen Little has come to the forefront.

Little has over 40 offers at the moment as his recruitment is steadily gaining traction. He has named a half-dozen programs that are catching his eye the most, and FSU was one of them.

“Some schools that are standing out are Auburn, Florida State, Notre Dame, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Florida,” Little said via Noles247.

Little is the nation’s No. 184 overall recruit and the No. 21 defensive lineman per the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s the No. 24 player in the state of Florida as well.

The Seminoles aren’t strangers to Little by any means. They offered the 6-foot-2, 290-pounder last May, and he also attended their game against the Miami Hurricanes last season. He’s planning to take another game visit to Tallahassee this season as well as other schools like Miami and the Florida Gators.

His sophomore year was unbelievably successful. Little finished with 61 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one pass breakup for Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa, Florida.

Little has established a relationship with defensive line coach Terrance Knighton, which is a big reason that he wants to visit again in the Fall. Defensive coordinator Tony White communicates with Little regularly too, and head coach Mike Norvell is also involved quite a bit. This will need to continue if Florida State wants to remain a top contender.
