First Niger Bridge to be decorated with Tinubu’s pictures – Umahi

The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has ordered that the picture of President Bola Tinubu will be pasted on the First Niger Bridge linking Anambra and Delta states, upon completion.

Umahi gave the order on Wednesday while inspecting rehabilitation work on the bridge.

He urged voters in the South-East to consider Tinubu’s infrastructure projects in the region ahead of the 2027 election.

DAILY POST recalls that the bridge was closed earlier this month after vandals removed structural components including bolts, nuts and parts of the expansion joint.

According to the minister, all illegal advertisements on the bridge should be removed after the rehabilitation and replaced with Tinubu’s pictures in recognition of what he described as the President’s efforts in the region.

“Once we are done with work on this bridge, I want all the illegal adverts on this bridge removed. Anyone who wants to advertise should apply to the Ministry of Works. For now, the bridge will be decorated with the pictures of President Tinubu.

“The President has worked so hard and we need to reward his hard work by decorating this bridge with his pictures,” Umahi said.

The former Ebonyi State governor equally appealed to voters in the South-East ahead of the 2027 presidential election not to throw away their votes.
