Fiorentina have signed Bournemouth right-back Alex Jimenez on a season-long loan deal.
Jimenez joined Bournemouth on loan from AC Milan last September, with an obligation to make the move permanent being triggered in February.
However, he has now become Fiorentina’s sixth signing of a busy transfer window, after the Viola completed a club-record deal for midfielder Arthur Atta as well as bringing in Marco Brescianini, Giovanni Fabbian, Viery Santos Lopes and Radu Dragusin, the latter also on loan.
Jimenez made 32 appearances for Bournemouth in all competitions last season, with his only goal for the club coming in a 3-2 Premier League win over Liverpool in January.
Fiorentina open their Serie A campaign away at Roma on August 24, before hosting newly promoted Frosinone the following weekend.
