Hull City manager, Sergej Jakirovic, has named goalkeeper, Emi Martinez as the Player of the Match following his side’s Premier League 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Saturday.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the match, Jakirovic insisted that the Argentina World Cup winner saved Xabi Alonso’s side.
“It’s a huge result for us. We had 2-1 at half-time, and we had a hundred per cent chance with McBurnie, but Martinez’s save was excellent,” Jakirovic said.
“We have to control play better in the box because we can stop this . We had an excellent chance for Cho–Martinez saved again. Player of the match,” he said.
Morgan Rogers gave Chelsea the lead inside seven minutes, but two goals from Mohamed Belloumi gave Hull a temporary lead before Joao Pedro equalised.
